About KuduGuide

Across South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria, thousands of free and low-cost online courses sit in plain sight — and most people never hear about them. A qualification that could strengthen a CV, or a short course that could open a first job, stays buried under sign-up pages, unclear pricing and jargon. KuduGuide exists to close that gap.

We are an independent publisher. We write clear, honest guides to online courses and public support programmes, so that a reader can decide — in a few minutes, and without giving anyone their money first — whether a course is worth their time.

What we do

Each guide answers the questions a real learner asks before enrolling: what you actually learn, how long it takes, what is genuinely free and what you pay for, and — just as important — what a certificate does not get you. We say plainly when a course is an introduction rather than a professional qualification, and when a certificate of completion is not the same thing as an official industry credential.

We are not a course provider, a government body or a recruitment agency, and we are not paid by the platforms we write about. That independence is the whole point: it lets us tell you when a course is not the right fit, which the provider’s own page never will.

How we keep our guides accurate

Every guide is built from the official source. Course details — content, duration, cost and what the certificate represents — are taken from the provider’s own pages, not from second-hand summaries. Where a detail cannot be confirmed on an official source, we say so rather than guess, and we point you to the official page to check the current figure yourself.

Prices, eligibility rules and availability change over time, and only the provider or the responsible authority can set them. For that reason every guide ends by directing you to the official course page, and we ask you to confirm the current details there before you enrol or apply.

Who we write for

Our readers are in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria: school-leavers weighing a first qualification, workers looking to add a skill, and anyone trying to tell a worthwhile free course from a dead end. We write for people spending their own time and, sometimes, their own airtime — so we keep our guides direct, practical and free of hype.
